How do I restore my subscription or purchases?

You can restore your subscription in two places: tap "Restore" on the paywall, or go to Settings → Account and tap "Restore Purchases." Both will verify your subscription with Apple and restore access to all features on this device. If you switched devices, you can sign in with your account to access your subscription on your new phone.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through Apple, not within the app. To cancel, go to your iPhone Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions, find Gold Prospector, and tap "Cancel Subscription." You'll retain Pro features through the end of your current billing period.

Is there a free tier?

No. Gold Prospector is a subscription app. You get a 7-day free trial where you can access all features and explore everything. After the trial ends, you'll need an active subscription ($8.99/month or $89.99/year) to use the app.

Do offline maps work without signal?

Yes. Gold Prospector Pro includes offline map downloads. Before you head to the field, download your area within the app. Once downloaded, the map is fully usable without cell service or WiFi.

I'm not receiving my verification email — what do I do?

Check your spam or junk folder first. If it's not there, wait a minute and try requesting another email from the login screen. If you're still not receiving it, reach out to support and I'll help sort it out.

How accurate is the GPS / location data?

GPS accuracy depends on your device and signal. In open sky with a clear view, expect accuracy within 5–15 meters. In canyons or dense vegetation, accuracy may be 20–50 meters or more. For critical prospecting decisions, always cross-check with other methods and on-the-ground observation.

How do I report a bug or request a feature?

Email support@goldprospector.app with details about what you found or what you'd like to see. Include steps to reproduce bugs and context for feature ideas. I read and prioritize every suggestion.
